They include the theft of money, the interruption of operations, the risks associated with fake news, and identity theft, as well as the loss of privacy both for individuals and companies. These risks have implications at a global level in terms of economy and national security. On the other hand, the the incorporation of digital technologies into an increasing number of aspects of daily life has led to the appearance of instability and risks. While global risks are not comparable, since definitions and emerging issues change over the years, cyberattacks, along with environmental risks, have consolidated their position on both the impact and probability rankings since they first appeared on the list in 2012.
